A Few Words From Our Riders
Thanks so much for looking after my mom and her friend. I know it will mean a lot to both, but in particular to my mom. As a 90 yr old amputee “sports” have been unattainable for a long time. It’ll be great to get out into the sunshine and wind and experience the Rail Trail which would be otherwise not possible.
Much appreciated!
Carolyn
Just a little note to thank you again for such a splendid Sunday afternoon which revived all my senses…awakening the wonderful smells of earthy things, viewings of colourful flower fields, fresh air, hearing the birds and their song, enjoying contact of friendly people along the way… it was a sheer delight! Most importantly to thank you Carol for your guidance in pointing out interesting sites and Jim’s labour in safely motoring us around. I look forward to yet another little adventure in not-too-distant future. I am very grateful for this, as it provides me with outings, I no longer am able to enjoy on my own and as the saying goes, “What a way to go”.
Fondly,
Lilliana
Thank you so much for the great ride. You must have been tired today.
I am sure I will be asked how you register for the ride. Can you give me details so I am prepared? I don’t suppose you know who to email at the Kalamalka Rotary Club (the donors). As a Rotary member myself, I would like to thank them for their donation.
Thanks again. It was fun to get to know each other better.
Patricia
My mom recently experienced a ride of yours and enjoyed her experience so much!! She is so revitalized and happy about life again since.
Cheers,
Doris and Paula
Thank you! I was so happy to take Myrna with me. She is on very low income and would you believe she has never been on vacation. She said to me walking home “I cannot believe I had life today.” Words cannot express the value of that. Thank you so much!
Thank you so very much for accomplishing the near impossible — surprising my husband, Brian, with a trishaw ride on his birthday. He loved it, and has been telling everyone he meets what a wonderful time it was. Lauren, as planned, Brian and I went to the Schubert Centre under the guise of having coffee and cinnamon buns (which Brian loves!). After that treat, when Brian was elsewhere, Carol appeared and we confirmed that the ride was still a surprise, then Jim appeared, introduced himself to Brian, then proceeded to take both of us on an absolutely lovely ride. In 47 years of marriage, I have not been able to surprise Brian on his birthday and doubt very much that his 75th would have been different had it not been for all of you at Cycling Without Age.

Again, thank you for arranging my wonderful ride along the rail trail with my pilot, Jim. It was truly a ride to remember! I hope this donation will help the organization to continue to provide this experience to others.
Sincerely
Joanne
I want to thank you very much for taking Patricia and I on the Trishaw ride this past Monday. It was lovely to meet you & I really enjoyed it. I was amazed at how efficiently and safely you got us through the city via bike lanes to the park. I gave up riding my own bike because I was nervous in traffic even on the bike lanes. With you driving us I was not at all nervous. I just enjoyed myself.
Thanks again
Val
Thank you so much for making the ride happen for my dad (and for all of us). It was a wonderful day. Gary was amazing; he was so good with my dad. My dad is at the stage with his illness where he is still able to take some degree of pleasure in certain activities (he may not remember what he did an hour later but in the moment he is enjoying himself). He loves the outdoors, and is drawn to bikes like a magnet, so he did enjoy the ride. He just sat quietly taking in the scenery and sunshine. I will confess that I was a little worried he wouldn’t ride in the trishaw but Gary was so good that Dad just climbed in and sat down. My mom thoroughly enjoyed herself as well.
It was a bittersweet day though. It warmed my heart to see my dad as close to riding a bike that is possible for him right now, but it made me sad that he can’t ride a bike anymore and I have lost my riding partner.
When I left to go home he hugged me and got a little teary and said “thank you for a great day”. I cannot thank you enough for this beautiful, precious gift you have given my dad, and the treasured memory for the rest of us.
